Because it is ‘birthday month,’ I decided to watch Leap Year after watching Jesus Christ superstar.
I put it on as my Mom was finishing the dishes and she kind of walk by and watched bits of the movie with me. She marveled that I knew all of the words for when the train attendant was talking. She said that I must have seen this movie hundreds of times!

I just looked at her and smiled and said, well it is birthday month after all! But I told her a couple weeks ago that I finally feel like an adult. It’s taking me a few months after my 40th birthday but I think I’m grown now.

I am no stranger to old habits dying hard but I think I will try to just have a birthDAY. I think… I will try… but 40 years of doing things one way is a long time!!!!

I have always liked the ending of this movie and I saw this clip on YouTube and I don’t think I have shared it before so I think that this will be the next not so random tune:

I almost finished my vanilla bean chapstick last night and it was so cold that a unpeeled a new vanilla bean. And here’s the method to my madness: 1. It’s difficult to control my hands in the morning and 2. I didn’t want to deal with the scrape on my lips while I’m still groggy when I wake up.

So, this morning, I had soft chapstick to put on my lips as I was waking up and then I watched Jesus Christ Superstar and I was touched by this song and I realized how small my life has really become now:

And then I was thinking about the 2018 Jesus Christ Superstar which I have never seen so I asked my mom if we could watch it tomorrow. It’s on YouTube and will put it on my TV! Well, it it IS ‘birthday month!’

I had to have a preview of our viewing for tomorrow and I saw thi:

I heard a Mariah Carey song and that started the wheels turning and I remember lending the CD to Mr. Wright and we talked about this specific song and this was back when I was teaching English and I remembered this song being a student’s favorite song in their “Who am I?” questionnaire:

My son texted me this earlier this evening:

I love this text for a few reasons: 1. Of course I remember that song! 2. The subsequent text correction with an * because that’s what I do all of the time! He knows language is very important to me and realizes the trouble I am having communicating now.

So, once I received this text, the first thing I had to do was listen to the song!!!:

I called him once I was done listening to the song. I told him, of course I remember that song! I told him that it is from the second apartment during spring or summer the year that Chase and Zoey kissed on Zoey 101!

Then we started talking about Zoey 101 and Sean told me that the first three seasons are on Netflix and that he thought they were adults when he was a kid but they are children. We laughed and he said that they are going ahead with a Zoey 101 reunion episode of sorts as they are older now and he said that they stopped works on a Ned’s Declassified.

I am completely a ‘boy mom’ and Ned’s Declassified was also a good show that we used to watch when he was young. I appreciate that he understands that I live in my memories now and we can share them together.

But then he told me that his memory of this song is from the computer room at my current house. He told me that it was back before the renovations. He told me that it was a completely different house! I remember that too!

I am feeling wonky today and this song is in my head:

Today was the first day I drank the Sweet Vanilla Orgain nutrition shake. I drank it just before I pillaged this week and I have decided that it is, “Sweeter” than the chocolate ones. I’m not sure if it’s the taste or because now because I get them from Target that they are five dollars cheaper. So I’m not sure but you know I thought of this song for sure:

This song randomly popped up in my phone and I have no idea why:

I couldn’t place why this song was so familiar. I couldn’t remember where I was but her voice reminded me of WMU and then it hit me! I was in the Rec. Center and I am in my groove riding the elliptical back when I was able bodied. And I love how music can put me right back there:

I think that it must have been a couple weeks ago when my mom and I somehow stumbled on to watching YouTube videos and we ended up watching videos about both Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers. Sean said that we were very GenZ because we were watching YouTube videos on my TV.

I really liked watching the documentary and I told my Mom that I wanted to rewatch the movie, Dumplin’ and we watched 9 to 5. I couldn’t get over the fact that she is such a great songwriter and I put her playlist on my Apple Music as I was playing solitaire. I think it’s crazy that I heard this one and it’s new and she is 77 years old and STILL singing! I am SO late to this party!:

A Facebook friend posted this and it made me laugh way too hard and I was back in my dorm at WMU because this song was my wall mate, Marissa’s favorite band:
