I went to the doctor today. It was my six month checkup. I got weighed before I saw the doctor.
I lost 10 pounds.
In six months.
That is concerning!!! I haven’t been doing anything differently!
I said that to Dr. Chamas’ nurse and she agreed.
Dr. Chamas came in and we had our polite greetings and then I blurted out, “I lost 10 pounds?! She responded with, “I see that.”
I haven’t been doing anything differently, just existing. She told me that she is not concerned because I still look good and I don’t look sickly. I guess that’s what my problem is. Is that going to happen to me?!
I have been chubby my whole life and so it’s weird that I’m not?! I really don’t know how I feel about that. I don’t think I like it.
This song popped into my head, even though it is completely out of season now that it is Fall:
I never really thought that that would be me, but it’s here now and I’m not sure what to do with it.
My Mom got to go to the doctor as well because we have the same doctor. She went for her annual as I went for my six month check up. We’ll do the same thing next year! Two birds; one stone, I guess?
Savannah, Dr. Chamas’s nurse, is pregnant. She is due in January. She is having a little girl and they are naming her Sophia. I was so excited to tell her that the next time I see her, I get to hear about her baby! I told her that I never had a girl baby! We both congratulated her a bunch!
