I just watched a few episodes and Sabre just took over. I feel kind of bad for David.
Category: A Bit Of Randomness
This category is full of randomness that really doesn’t fit nicely into any of the categories having to do with my road to walking.
My The Office Binge Day 24
I am almost finished with season six and I love that Jim and Pam had a little girl! I wanted a little girl but it wasn’t in the cards for me. I cut my binge short so my Mom and I could watch, Jesus Christ Superstar because it IS Holy Thursday. I’d like to Darrell singing the Jeffersons theme song as he moved into Jim‘s old office but then Dwight started seeing this one and Andy joined in;
It made me think of high school and Mr. Flint. I LOVE this show and I dig that Andy and Erin kissed!
Tufts
I taught the book, The Outsiders, for five years while I taught 7th grade English and before I received my masters degree. I thought about this earlier today as I blowdried my hair. One of the greasers, Dally, was described as a toe-head guy who was the only one who did not wear grease in his hair.
I read that book with the class by listening to the audio version of the book. I think for four years, I only had four classes a day to read the book because we had a block schedule. While I worked at the school, the schedule was constantly being tweaked and one year, I had seven classes a day because we shortened the class period.
I thought of reading the description of Dally as I blowdried my hair because since he didn’t wear any grease, he was described as having, “Tufts of hair kicking out over his shoulders.” Now that my hair is getting so long, I feel like I have tufts that kick out over my shoulders just like Dally.
I remember that being a big difference from the movie because Dally was played by Matt Dillon. I even had to show my students what a toe-headed person looked like. Because this was way back in 2005, I showed them overhead that I created on the overhead projector. I used to do that back when I taught. My students were something like 95% Hispanic so they didn’t really know what a toe-head looked like. I think I may have had one or two students who were toe-heads. I’m pretty sure the boy let me use him as an example but the girl didn’t want to be an example.
I thought about this because I can feel the tufts of my hair and then I imagine that they kick out over my shoulders as I had to have another intermission in the middle of blow drying my hair because it is so long now. I told my Mom that I thought I would be cool to have long hair again after so many years but, I don’t think it’s cool. I think it’s annoying!
National Siblings Day 2020
I’ve known all these guys for my ENTIRE life and dealt with their torment for just as long. They all have helped my Mom and me as we are in our bubble (which is my house) to protect ourselves… Nothing but LOVE!!!

My The Office Binge Day 25
I just finished the last episode of season six and I have so many questions! I think I need to erupt into a, “Power binge” to finish up! Hopefully, right after Easter I think. I’m sad to start season seven now:
Tune #66 Inspired by GMFB
I’m so happy that GMFB posts virtual, social distancing clips! I saw this one this morning and my ears perked up because they were talking about my Lions!:
I agree with Peter that we should stay put with our draft pick but then he referenced this song which made me laugh:
My The Office Binge Day 26
So, I continued my binge today and I started season seven. My Mom absolutely loved the scene they were doing in the beginning and she watched that first episode with me and Sean.
I don’t know why they did it and I asked Sean and he didn’t answer. I stopped my binge on the episode where Andy is performing in, “Sweeney Todd” I feel kind of terrible that I have never seen that show but that is something I can watch, probably in the near future. The episode ended with Andy singing this one:
This song made me laugh and was big during my freshman year of college and it reminds me of my wall-mate, Marissa and her boyfriend at the time because he would sang Macy Gray just like her:
A Mess!
So, I think it’s all of the stress I feel from the pandemic but I noticed yesterday morning that I could feel is it coming in on my chin. I said something to Sean about it last night but today, he actually saw it and let me know that, “That’s a good one!” I kind of chuckled and told him that it hurts and I shook my head and told him that it’s just like I am a teenager.
So, it’s like I’m a teenager but… I noticed yesterday as I blew on my lunch as I sat beneath the chandelier in my dining room. I furrowed my overgrown eyebrows and out of the corner of my eye, I saw the light glint out to off of a white hair is the center of my overgrown eyebrows!
So, I’m just a mess! My chin thinks I am a teenager but my eyebrows know that I am old. I am glad that at this point, my only white hair is on my eyebrows they get waxed every month but either way, like I said, I am just a mess!
My The Office Binge Day 28
Well, continuing my binge today, I’ve decided that I do NOT like Dwight owning the building. I also did NOT like his retaliations to Jim’s snowball! I saw two episodes for the Christmas party this season and I loved Pam and Jim‘s gift exchange and I dug Darrell’s daughter!
My The Office Binge Day 29
Continue my binge and I got to Michaels movie:
Seriously?! My Mom did not find it as much as I did but she watched him with me. Once that episode was finished, I stopped my binge for today.
